Sapulpa Virtual Academy is a blended approach to education that includes full or partial online delivery of instruction with an element of student control over the time, place, path, and/or pace of learning.

Students will have the option to enroll in an elective such as athletics or fine arts which would require the student to attend that class at the school site.

The program is open to students between Kindergarten and 12th-grade who are enrolled at Sapulpa Public Schools. If your student is not yet enrolled, we will be more than happy to assist you with enrollment.

"I can tell you without a doubt that I had a great opportunity, received a great education."
- Oklahoma State Representative Mark Lawson, 1999 Sapulpa High School graduate

Sapulpa Virtual Academy is free and offers three options. Each student will receive a school-issued Chromebook to complete coursework, access to certified teachers for assistance, a computer lab during regular school hours, and the opportunity to maintain a sense of school pride through extra-curricular and after-school activities, all while learning from home.

FULL-TIME STUDENTS

Student on SC Chromebook at homeThese students are enrolled in Sapulpa Virtual Academy on a full-time basis, and each course must be started from the beginning of the semester. Full-Time virtual students are responsible for completing all courses and must be completed by the end of the semester in which the classes were assigned.

A virtual learning computer lab will be located in the high school library and will be available for students during the regular school day hours. Certified teachers, specific to content areas, will be available during the day to assist via phone or face-to-face interaction in the computer lab. A schedule and telephone numbers for assistance will be made available to virtual students.

Students who would like to participate in a competitive activity such as athletics, band, choir, etc, will be required to attend the class associated with the activity at the school site as part of the regular school day schedule and be subject to OSSAA academic eligibility rules for participation in extracurricular activities.

"I can think of teachers and coaches that I had throughout my experience here in Sapulpa that helped give me leadership abilities to just be strong and confident in who I am and believe that I could achieve what I wanted to achieve."
- Adam Tico Hernandez, lead guitarist and band manager for country music star Lauren Alaina and 2000 Sapulpa High School graduate.

HYBRID STUDENTS

Hybrid classes are scheduled during the school day as part of the regular schedule and are subject to OSSAA academic eligibility rules for participation in extracurricular activities.

This option is beneficial to those students who want to take two classes that are only offered at the same time, those students who want to take an additional class, or those students who want to take a class that is not offered on campus.
