Trunk or Treat 2018(SPS) -- TRICK OR TREAT!!!

Or is it TRUNK OR TREAT? Maybe it’s TRICK OR TREAT SO KIDS CAN EAT!

Actually, it’s all of the above!

Sapulpa High School National Honor Society is holding its annual Trunk or Treat event in the high school parking lot on Monday, Oct. 28 between 6 and 7 p.m.

The event will feature at least 35 vehicle trunks decorated in different themes for trick-or-treaters to show off costumes, play games, and of course get candy!

High school students have come up with ring toss, a dance competition, cornhole, and many other attractions for those who attend. It sounds like it's going to be a great time for everyone in the community!

On Halloween night, Sapulpa Theatre is participating in the national Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat program sponsored by International Thespian Society.

The idea is for students to go out on Halloween and ask for canned goods, instead of candy, to donate to charity. Our students will donate their collections to the district's Food Pantry which distributes food each week to students in need.

Sapulpa Theatre is competing against other chapters of Oklahoma Thespians to see who can bring in the most food. Thespian troupes have collected more than 4 million pounds of food since the first Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat in 2003.

So make sure you have your candy and canned goods when you hear the knock on your door. You may need both.

Theatre and Student Council are also holding a food drive in the last week of October.
