(SPS) -- Chieftain boys' soccer manager and Sapulpa High School junior Holly Haslam has earned the latest Chieftain Athletics Core Value Award.

Haslam received the award for the Core Value of Responsibility.

The award is given monthly to the student-athlete who best exemplifies the values of Sapulpa Chieftains Athletics - character, humility, commitment, integrity, self-control, mental toughness, team, responsibility, honor, and service.

The winner is selected after nominations are submitted by the coaches and reviewed by the athletics department.

"It's such a great asset to have Holly in our athletic programs," said cross country head coach Debbie Williams while presenting a plaque to Haslam. "She is extremely involved in the high school and leadership. The responsibility that she shows is evident in our competitions and our daily practices, from the huge events all the way down to just checking out uniforms. I can't say enough great things about how hard she works, how thorough she is in making sure that every program she is a part of is taken care of, and represented well, and organized. She takes great pride in that responsibility."

The Core Value Award is sponsored by Tier One Lawn, which presents each winner of the award a QuikTrip gift card.
